Design Technician Apprentice Level 2 for Admiral Lord Nelson School
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who wishes to be trained as a Design Support/Technician. The apprenticeship will be made up of practical employment experience whilst having an education programme that will lead on to a nationally recognised qualification. You will learn basic design principles, how to work to a brief and complete research for design projects. Duration of the apprenticeship will vary depending on entry qualifications, with one day a week in the classroom. Observation and assessment by professional teachers and assessors, takes place throughout the term of apprenticeship to build upon your levels of understanding leading toward your qualification.
This role is for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, is courteous and well-mannered and an articulate team player. You should have the ability to communicate professionally to all both orally and in writing. You should have good organisational, planning and follow through skills and have strong computer skills. You must have the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentially.
All applicants must be qualified to GCSE A*-C or equivalent in at least English and Maths.
